The beginning of my dedicated movie watching

A few days ago, I read a comment (I believe on Roger Ebert's site at the Chicago Sun Times) that the average movie critic probably sees over 400 films each year. It got me to think about all the films I've collected over the years and intended to watch, Oscar winners, seminal works, and frequently referenced films. Then, I figured, if I replace just some of my regular TV watching, I could probably watch a film a day (going through approximately 360 films a year, allowing for some off days).

So, here I am with a tentative schedule of films to watch for the next month and a half. I hope I get around to reviewing each film, if only with a quickie paragraph and a few parting thoughts. Just in these first six days of this program, my viewing has including the heartwarming, the funky, and utter dreck. My list of films consists primarily of drama and includes animated and live-action, gay and straight interests, and fantasy and realism.
